OBJECTIVE
The objective of Rivers and District Chamber of Commerce is to promote and improve trade, commerce, economic, civic and social welfare of the district.
FEES
An annual fee is payable to Rivers and District Chamber of Commerce preferably prior to January 31 of each year. Once fees have been paid, that member is entitled to a maximum number of votes, as defined in the membership category of employees. That member business must have an equal number of representatives present at any meeting in order to vote.
Fees are as follows:
$20.00 Individual/non-profit organization
$40.00 Business owner with no employees
$60.00 Business with 1-3 employees
$80.00 Business with 4-6 employees
$100.00 Business with 7-9 employees
$125.00 Business with over 10 employees
MEETINGS
Currently, meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month at Tempo Place Emporium at 12 noon.
The annual meeting will be held in February of each year.
The order of business at each meeting will be as follows:
- Minutes
- Old business
- Financial report
- Correspondence
- New business
- Round table
- Adjournment
WHAT WE DO
Rivers and District Chamber of Commerce is here to promote and grow local businesses in Rivers and its surrounding areas.
Advertising: Being a member gives your business the opportunity to be advertised through initiatives sponsored by Rivers and District Chamber of Commerce, including our social media.
Chamber Bucks: A chamber buck is a form of gift certificate. Redeemable at any member business/organization. Once the merchant has received a buck, they are to contact the chamber treasurer for reimbursement.
Santa Parade: we annually host this event where local businesses, organizations and, of course, Santa, parade around Rivers. After the parade, Santa poses for pictures with the children and there are an assortment of activities to coincide with the day.
Phone Directory: Becoming a member of Rivers and District Chamber of Commerce ensures your business will be listed on the phone directory for Riverdale Municipality (online and paper copies)
